Don’t bug me!

What a weekend!  I hope everyone was safe and had a fabulous 4th.  If you didn’t already know, the 4th is my favorite holiday: the gorgeous weather, fireworks, bike parades, and fantastic food.  I love it so much, even two major inconveniences couldn’t put a damper on the weekend.  1- My refrigerator went out.  On Saturday.  After a huge grocery trip.  Thanks to coolers, tons of ice, and even dry ice, we only lost a couple of items.  2.- Shattered the screen of my iphone.  I’m fairly clumsy and have dropped it before, this time it hit just right & shattered the screen.  Thankfully the phone still works, hoping it’s an “easy fix” at Apple.

Happily, the one thing that didn’t bug me this weekend was mosquitoes!  Generally I don’t like bug spray: the smell and the chemicals particularly.  But, Blissful Botanic has created their own Natural Bug spray made with pure essential oils.  Instead of a long list of unpronounceable ingredients, you’ll find lemon eucalyptus, geranium, lavender, citronella, lemongrass, rosemary and catnip. I know, catnip sound crazy, but Iowa research study shows that catnip oil is 10X more effective than DEET and the CDC recommends lemon eucalyptus as a natural insect repellent.  They also use witch hazel and aloe vera also added to soothe existing bites.  Safer for everyone!

Daily Green Special:  Purchase a bottle of Blissful Botanica Natural Bug Spray (http://www.favortheearth.com/teachergifts.html) and receive a 1/2 bar of Blissful Botanic soap for free!  Just write “bug free” on the customer checkout notes and we’ll add the free soap to your order.
