So much for our 50 degree Chicago winter. Of course it wouldn’t last, but it was fantastic! Where else in the country, though, does it go from 50 to 27 overnight? And snow. It seems ridiculous that a girl like me who hates winter wants to move to Colorado, but the only purpose I find for snow is making mountains look even more stunning and skiing. Neither one is happening in my backyard. Since I can’t bury myself under the covers and hibernate through the cold and wind, I guess I have to suck it up and bundle up.
My ears ache every time I see someone out in this weather without a hat. Of course, my hat is on as soon as it drops below 60! Since everyone needs to protect ears and fingers, our recycled hockey hats and mitts are on sale today. Made in Canada by three “hockey moms,” these babies will shield the elements. I love the hats because they cover the ears, the inside is recycled fleece lined (cozy soft), and the skate lace ties are a fabulous touch. Yes, they’re worn by all: men, women, and kids! The mitts are just as warm & cozy; great length too so your wrists aren’t cold.
Daily Green Special: For today only, all recycled hockey hats & mitts are on sale! Offer valid until tomorrow’s post. Happy Thursday!
