Travel plans? How to travel green!

Memorial Day weekend always feels like the start of summer.  This year, for us, it actually is since the kids are out for break that Friday.  Crazy early!  If you’re planning to get away for a few days over the long weekend, we have the essentials you need.

In the current issue of Green Child Magazine, Lori Alper has a fantastic article on Tips for Green Travel with Kids.  Favor the Earth can help you find the solutions to her wonderful tips.

  • Pack Healthy Snacks:  This is a must-do for me even when running errands!  Our 479 Organic Popcorn has enough varieties to keep the whole family happy.  Packing snacks from home?  Our new Wexy Bags are great for traveling too; plus they’re BPA free, biodegradable, and made in the US!
  • Bring Reusable Water Bottles:  We’ve got you covered here!  Vapur anti-bottles are the original (and only US made!) collapsible, BPA-free, freezable, and dishwasher safe water bottle.  Available in assorted colors and sizes,  even a spot to write your name!
  • Bring Your Own Reusable Bag:  My favorite reusable bag of all time is our Organic T-shirt bag.  Made from a recycled organic t-shirt & dyed with the dirt & clay from Georgia and the Carolinas, it’s unique and durable.  And, since it’s the weight of a t-shirt I roll it up and put it in my purse so I’m never without an extra bag.  Machine washable too!  Looking for a day pack for yourself or the kids?  Don’t miss our Eco-Gear backpacks and messenger bags.

Daily Green Special:  Check page 57 of the current Green Child Magazine issue for a special Favor the Earth coupon!  Happy Thursday!
