Rumor has it, WWII vets claimed they were going off to war to fight for “mom and apple pie.” So, I guess it’s no mistake that National Apple Pie day falls just after Mother’s Day. Although, it’s celebrated again in December and I don’t have an explanation for that. Maybe everyone just wanted another excuse to have a slice of apple pie.
Of course, if you’re going to share an apple pie with friends (yes, we should share them!) you’ll need a way to transport it. Pie pans usually don’t fit in the vintage cake carriers, and simply wrapping in foil can get messy, so you need our handy PieBox!
Even if you’re buying pie from your favorite bakery, like my recent trip to Hoosier Mama Pie Company, they’ll happily use your PieBox for safe packaging!
From scratch, or from a store, your PieBox is a great way to safely transport pies home or to a friend’s house. Of course, PieBox is great for more than just pies: yesterday it carried upside down pineapple cupcakes, and the week before, dozens of cookies!
PieBox is handmade in Chicago from chemical-free raw pine. Now your presentation will be as remarkable as the pie inside! Pick up yours today for a great sale price.
Daily Green Special: In celebration of National Apple Pie Day, enjoy 20% off our PieBox. No coupon necessary, but the offer is only valid until tomorrow’s post. Happy Monday!
